SUSTAINABILITY LIBRARY 2025 About Lerøy Vision and values

Vision and values

Strategic priorities

Lerøy’s vision is to be the leading and most profitable global supplier of sustainable, high-quality seafood. Our overarching goal is to create the world’s most efficient and sustainable seafood value chain. In response to biological challenges, we have implemented an updated strategic framework based on the Lerøy Way and four overarching priorities: Growth, Cost, Simplify, and Leadership.

This strategy provides all segments, companies, and employees with clear objectives, actions, and targets.

Lerøy Way – how we run our business

The Lerøy Way is our business system, defining how we work. It outlines how we assess our current situation and improvement areas, set clear targets and objectives, and solve problems. It also defines the enablers and prerequisites for delivering on our four strategic priorities.

Growth

Lerøy’s growth strategy builds on its integrated value chain, global presence, and strong market demand. From 2025, growth is driven by increased volume, improved capacity utilisation, and targeted partnerships and acquisitions. Existing licences form the foundation, while organic growth depends on improved biological performance and selective partnerships. Through disciplined execution, we aim to sustain long-term growth towards 2030.

Cost

Cost discipline is essential to improving and protecting profitability. Following periods of cost inflation and biological challenges, we are implementing a comprehensive programme to reduce the cost base and strengthen operational performance. Key initiatives include improving efficiency per FTE, optimising flow and utilisation across processing lines, enhancing preventive maintenance to minimise downtime, and leveraging strategic partnerships such as feed collaboration. These actions support our long-term goal of cost leadership and a more resilient value chain.

Simplify
To increase speed and clarity at scale, we will continue simplifying our operations and organisational structure. This includes optimising the group structure, reducing legal entities, relocating primary processing to VAP&S&D where relevant, and standardising key processes. Simplification improves resource use, decision-making, and execution across the organisation.

Leadership
Strong, accountable leadership is key to delivering our strategy. We continue to strengthen leadership through standardised onboarding and development, enabling leaders to drive performance, engagement, and operational excellence.
