    Fish fillet factory in Stamsund

    Overview of Stamsund in Lofoten

Inside the fillet factory in the small fishing village Stamsund in Lofoten, there are around a hundred employees who contributes to the supply of Norwegian cod and fish cakes all year-round.

The factory in Stamsund was acquired by Lerøy and underwent its biggest renovation in 2018. Now, fish cakes are produced right next to the fish fillet department. For the employees, including Inger Elise Karlsen, this means more stable operations throughout the year, with more jobs and less concerns.

Now the future is bright, for both Stamsund and those who live there.
